University of Sydney is seeking two part-time psychologists to join the Child Behaviour Research Clinic at the Camperdown campus. The roles combine clinical practice and research to improve outcomes for children and families, with one role 3 days (21 hours) and another 2 days (14 hours) per week, for one year fixed-term.

  • Psychologist registered with AHPRA.
  • Experience delivering evidence-based assessments and interventions for children and families.
  • Experience in a research-intensive environment and contributing to research projects.
  • Experience analysing, managing and disseminating research data and literature reviews.
  • Experience supporting research funding activities and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with researchers and clinicians to support clinical and research activities.
  • Contribute to design, delivery and management of research initiatives and clinical trials.
  • Support grant applications, research funding initiatives and dissemination of research outcomes.
  • Manage an independent clinical caseload with comprehensive assessments and interventions for children and families.
  • Undertake data analysis, interpretation and reporting to inform research findings and decisions.

Located at the Camperdown campusWork across clinical practice and research to help improve outcomes for children and familiesHEO 7 Base Salary $117,133-$127,610 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityPlay a pivotal role in advancing child and family mental health through a unique combination of clinical practice and research. Based within the Child Behaviour Research Clinic (CBRC), you will contribute to innovative research initiatives and clinical trials while providing evidence-based assessment and intervention to families. Working closely with researchers, clinicians and students, this role offers the opportunity to influence both research outcomes and clinical practice in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Your key responsibilities will be to:work closely with researchers and clinicians, to support clinical and research activitiescontribute to the design, delivery and management of research initiatives and clinical trialssupport grant application activities, research funding initiatives and the dissemination of research outcomesmanage an independent clinical caseload, including comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and familiesundertake data analysis, interpretation and reporting to inform research findings and operational decision-making.About youpsychologist registered with AHPRAdemonstrated experience providing assessment and evidence-based interventions for children and families experiencing behavioural or mental health difficultiesexperience working in a research-intensive environment and contributing to the design, delivery and management of research projects or clinical trialsdemonstrated experience analysing, managing and disseminating research data, including conducting literature reviews and contributing to research outputsexperience supporting research funding activities, grant applications and stakeholder relationships within a higher education, healthcare or research setting.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
