Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice invites applications for a Provisional Psychologist/Psychologist/Specialist Psychologist based in Queanbeyan or Goulburn. This full-time ongoing role offers a generous salary and a hybrid work model with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

Salary: $79,592 - $139,824 p.a. + superannuation, annual leave loading and flex leave

As part of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), you'll play a key role in delivering trauma-informed therapeutic care to vulnerable children, young people, families, and carers, supporting them to navigate the impacts of trauma, loss, and placement transitions.

As part of the Psychological and Specialist Services team, you will work to deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions and other professional services to DCJ client groups including children, young people, families and carers.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow and learn, drawing on the expertise of an experienced team and the knowledge and support of the broader Psychological and Specialist Services team.

We Are Seeking An Experienced And Passionate Psychologist Or Provisional Psychologist To Join The Southern NSW District Psychology Team With The Following

• Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either:
• Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or
• Provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within the relevant timeframes.
• Experience: Clinical experience working with and knowledge of therapeutic frameworks for child abuse, neglect and trauma. Prior experience working with children and adolescents is preferred. Or Knowledge of therapeutic frameworks for child abuse, neglect, and trauma.
• Driver’s Licence: willingness to travel as required.
