About the Role

As a Psychologist with Arena, you’ll provide evidence‑based psychological assessment and intervention services within your scope of practice while contributing to a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary environment.

You’ll work with a diverse client population and have the opportunity to develop areas of special interest within your caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver neurodiversity‑affirming, evidence‑based psychological interventions.
• Provide inclusive and culturally responsive care to clients from diverse backgrounds, including neurodivergent, sex and gender diverse, CALD, and First Nations communities.
• Deliver psychoeducation and skills‑based interventions.
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as required.
• Coordinate care with GPs, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, support coordinators, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain high‑quality clinical documentation and reporting.
• Deliver services via both face‑to‑face and telehealth modalities.
• Participate in supervision, peer consultation, and ongoing professional development.

About You

You are a compassionate and reflective practitioner who values ethical, person‑centred care and is passionate about supporting people to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• Current registration as a General or Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA.
• Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number.
• Strong understanding of evidence‑based psychological interventions.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Blue Card / Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Highly Regarded

• Experience working with neurodivergent clients, including autistic and ADHD individuals.
• Training and experience in neurodiversity‑affirming practice.
• A special interest in working with neurodivergent adults, including those navigating late diagnosis, burnout, masking, identity development, executive functioning challenges, and co‑occurring mental and physical health concerns.
• Experience supporting individuals presenting with eating and feeding differences (e.g. ARFID), including knowledge of neurodiversity‑affirming approaches to food, eating, sensory sensitivities, and body image.
• Experience supporting sex and gender diverse clients.
• Knowledge of NDIS, Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover frameworks.
• Experience in private practice settings.
