Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Provisional Psychologist to join our expanding psychology team delivering services in the NDIS space. You will support participants in line with AHPRA and NDS regulations, undertaking assessments, providing evidence-based interventions, and managing your caseload with guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Provisional psychologist registered with AHPRA and able to work under supervision.
• Experience delivering evidence-based, client-centered interventions.
• Ability to manage a caseload with supervision and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality therapeutic evidenced-based interventions in a professional, confidential manner.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment goals.
• Support and manage your caseload and liaise with participants and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with health professionals regarding client care.
• Complete case notes, reports and correspondence to required standards.
• Attend monthly team meetings and attend weekly supervision.

Job Description

As the AAA Psychology team is rapidly growing, we are seeking a dedicated Provisional Psychologist to enter our supportive, respectful and professional workplace within the NDIS space. At AAA, the Provisional Psychologist’s primary role is to support NDIS participants in line with AHPRA and NDS regulations and client goals.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Provide high quality therapeutic evidenced-based and client-centered interventions in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments (using clinical observations and standardised assessments) and interpret findings to formulate treatment goals.
• Be responsible for supporting and managing your case load.
• Support Participants and other stakeholders to develop and review support plans.
• Collaborate with other Health Professionals and key stakeholders regarding client’s care.
• Complete case notes, reports and other correspondence in line with required standards, relevant legislative requirements and ethical guidelines.
• Attend monthly team meetings, and team led in-services.
• Engage in weekly internal supervision with the Team Leader.
