Gilmour Space Technologies Pty invites a Propulsion Engineer I to join our innovative team between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. You will contribute to propulsion system design, analysis and in-house fabrication, helping push Australian space capabilities forward.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in engineering, be proficient in CAD and testing, and be prepared to work independently within a collaborative environment. Australian citizenship or eligible work visa required.

Mansioni

• Assist in design, analysis & manufacturing of propulsion systems including engines, fluid systems and GSE & infrastructure
• Develop CAD models and drawings
• Support commissioning & testing of propulsion systems
• Assist and develop written procedures and checklists for performing test & commissioning operations, and support test teams as required
• Assist the development of written procedures for manufacturing components
• Assist and coordinate the fabrication, assembly and integration of propulsion systems
• Support the design and testing of propulsion systems including data analysis
• Perform other duties as requested by Management

How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

• Assist in the design, analysis & manufacturing of propulsion systems including engines, fluid systems and GSE & infrastructure
• Develop CAD models and drawings.
• Support commissioning & testing of propulsion systems

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Experience with CAD designing parts and assemblies
• Experience using commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)
• Hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly, integration and testing
