Job description

As a member of our team, you won't just work for the city; you'll co-create it.

Here, your ideas and efforts directly shape the places where you and your community live, work, and play.

CN has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and commercially astute Property Development Manager to join our Finance & Property team and play a key role in delivering some of Newcastle's most significant property development initiatives.

In this role, you'll provide leadership and oversight of a portfolio of strategic partnership projects, guiding them from concept and feasibility through to delivery and operation. From preparing business cases and securing project approvals to managing procurement processes, project workstreams, and project development agreements, you'll play a key role in bringing transformative projects to life that support Newcastle's growth and long term vision.

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work closely with internal teams, government agencies, developers, consultants and community stakeholders to navigate the development lifecycle and achieve successful project outcomes. You'll be responsible for managing project governance, budgets, risks and reporting, whilst providing strategic advice to support commercial and property related decisions.

You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, navigating stakeholder relationships, and bringing together the many moving parts required to achieve successful project outcomes.

If you're motivated by the opportunity to transform precincts, unlock land potential and contribute to Newcastle's future growth, we'd love to hear from you.

Through your work, you'll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastle's evolution as you help shape our future as a liveable, inclusive city.
