Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a willing and capable candidate to join a booming open-cut coal mining operation near Moura as a Support Shotfirer. You will be involved in shotfiring operations under supervision and work 7/7 Day Shift rosters in a demanding mining environment.

Requirements include Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, HR Licence, and compliance with drug screening, QESC, and ASIO checks. On-site camp facilities are available with meals and gym.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Shotfirer in an open-cut coal mine.
• Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical or be willing to obtain.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.
• Current HR Licence & full working rights in Australia.
• Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC)
• ASIO Police Check
• Support Shot Firer Tickets (shotfirers only)

Responsibilities

• Support Shotfirer operations in an open-cut coal mine.
• Operate within a 7/7 Day Shift roster near Moura.
• Maintain safety and compliance on site.

• $85.20p/h + super paid on all rostered shift hours.
• 7/7 Roster Wed-Tues, 12 hr shifts, Day Shift only

Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin.

Working as a support Shotfirer in an open-cut coal mining environment. This role offers a 7/7 Day Shift only roster, on a open-cut mine near Moura.

What you will need

• Previous experiencing working as a support Shot Firer in an open-cut coal mine
• Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical or be willing to obtain.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.
• Current HR Licence & full working rights in Australia.
• Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC)
• ASIO Police Check
• Support Shot Firer Tickets (shotfirers only)
