Job summary

WorkPac Group in Queensland's Mackay region seeks a skilled Drill and Blast Operator to join our mining operations. You will operate Pit Vipers PV-275 and DK90 series drill rigs at Lake Lindsay mine, perform pre-start checks, and work safely within site procedures.

The role offers an 7/7 roster with day and night shifts, on-site camp facilities, meals, and the potential for a monthly bonus. You will contribute to production targets as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Signed Training Transcripts / LMS with proven experience operating Pit Viper Drillers PV-275 and DK90 Series Drillers.
• Standard 11 or willing to obtain.
• Coal Board Medical.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Ability to provide a clear Drug and Alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Operate Pit Vipers (PV-275) and DK90 Series drill rigs in the Drill and Blast department at Lake Lindsay mine.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic machine care.
• Work safely in accordance with site procedures and standards.
• Contribute to production targets within a team environment.

What You Will Be Doing
