Job summary

University of the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Project Support Officer in the School of Business and Creative Industries on the Sunshine Coast. This full-time fixed-term role supports delivery of Queensland Government-funded business short courses for the community.

You will manage registrations, onboarding, learning systems, assessments and communications, while maintaining records and supporting reporting to improve participant experience.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
  • Experience providing high-quality administrative support, preferably in education or training.
  • Strong written and oral communication, with ability to build positive relationships.
  • Organisational and planning skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use initiative and sound judgement for routine to moderately complex issues.
  • Well-developed computer literacy and experience with online platforms and record keeping.

  • Level 5, $82,843 - $93,358 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
  • Full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term appointment until June 2029
The Opportunity

The School of Business and Creative Industries is seeking a motivated and organised Project Support Officer to support the delivery of a suite of Queensland Government-funded business short courses for the Queensland business community.

You will provide high-quality administrative and participant support across course registrations, onboarding, learning systems, assessment processes, communications and reporting. Working with academic staff, facilitators, industry and government stakeholders, you will help ensure participants have a positive, accessible and well-supported learning experience.

You will
  • provide advice and support to prospective and current participants, including course information, eligibility and administrative requirements;
  • coordinate participant registrations, onboarding, learning system access, assessment processes and course communications; and
  • maintain accurate records, support reporting and contribute to improvements that enhance course administration and participant experience.
About you

You are an organised and customer-focused administrator who enjoys supporting people and coordinating multiple activities. You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You are comfortable working with digital systems and building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, and you use initiative and sound judgement to resolve routine and moderately complex issues.

You will possess:
  • A relevant degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience;
  • Experience providing high-quality administrative support, preferably in an education, training or program environment;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and build positive relationships with participants and stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and sound judgement to resolve routine and moderately complex operational matters within established policies and procedures; and
  • Well-developed computer literacy and experience with systems, record keeping, file management and online platforms.
