A great opportunity for an early career professional looking for an opportunity to use project coordination skills in a consulting environment. The Proximity Consulting group is growing and willing to develop team members through interesting work and career pathways. We work on some of the most interesting and complex Commonwealth government programs and projects so you will need an eye for detail. The work will be varied, meaningful, and supported as needed.

This Role Is An Exciting Opportunity To
  • Develop project management skills on complex government projects
  • Undertake project assurance, risk management, governance and develop business cases
  • Manage project budgets, timelines and outcomes
Some Of The Responsibilities Could Include
  • Project managing and driving project success by coordinating tasks, schedules, and resources and planning activities
  • Assisting with stakeholder consultations: question development, synthesising feedback, developing, and analysing survey data
  • Undertaking document reviews and literature scans, discovery, assessments
  • Project support: coordinate meetings, summarise actions, track progress/issues/risks, and produce status reports
  • Research: synthesising complex document information, and provide desktop research to support the preparation of advice, reports, or presentations
  • Writing client documents: drafting reports, briefings, policies, and procedures

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
  • 2+ years’ project coordination experience gained within a corporate or government environment
  • High level analysis and information synthesizing skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
  • Coordination skills to keep project tasks on track
  • Desire to work closely with clients, being adaptable and responsive
  • You may hold a project management qualification or have a strong desire to achieve one
  • Have an Australian Government Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
