Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Summer Intern to support day-to-day delivery within our project and program management team across transport, water, and renewable energy. You will learn from experienced PMs while contributing to scheduling, documentation, and stakeholder communications.

This 12-week paid internship runs mid-November to mid-February, offering real project experience across Australia and New Zealand and a pathway to future graduate opportunities.

Qualifications

• Summer Intern attributes: curious, excited to apply studies in a professional environment.
• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Civil or Construction Services; penultimate year required.
• Commencement: able to work full-time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027.
• Working Rights: must have full working rights to work in Australia and New Zealand before applying.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of major infrastructure programs by helping with schedule, budget, and quality tracking under guidance.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications (minutes, trackers, materials).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress, identify risks or issues, and update risk registers and mitigations.
• Contribute to PMO processes, governance activities, and status reporting across project stages.
