Job summary

Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Officer - Capital Works to join our Operations team. This exciting role will lead the delivery of minor capital works projects and support major infrastructure projects across some of the Northern Territory's most unique and remote communities.

Reporting to the Projects and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time,

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing projects from planning through to completion, delivering on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement, contractor management and risk management.
• Ability to operate effectively across remote communities and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules and procurement docs.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Monitor finances and prepare management reports.
• Identify and manage project risks and conduct site inspections.
• Build project management capability across Council teams.
