Job summary

Spinifex Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Officer for the Flood Restoration Portfolio in Northern Rivers NSW. The role focuses on cost control, forecasting, reporting and business intelligence to support informed decisions across a diverse civil infrastructure program.

You will partner with project managers and leadership to deliver budgets, dashboards and project controls, with exposure to multi-million-dollar capital works and grant-funded initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Contract Administrator, Project Controls, Commercial Analyst or Project Management capacity.
• Strong project cost control and forecasting experience.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
• Experience developing dashboards and project reporting frameworks.
• Understanding of project financial management, earned value principles and budget performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail.

Project Officer

Flood Restoration Portfolio | Northern Rivers NSW

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Project Officer to join a high-performing infrastructure delivery team supporting a significant flood restoration program.

This role will suit a commercially astute professional with a strong background in project cost control, forecasting, reporting and project performance analysis. We are seeking someone who can partner closely with project managers and leadership teams to provide accurate financial insights, robust project controls and meaningful business intelligence that supports informed decision-making.

Working across a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure and construction projects, you will play a key role in tracking project performance, managing budgets and forecasts, identifying emerging risks and ensuring projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.

Key Responsibilities

About You

We are looking for someone who brings a strong commercial mindset and the ability to translate project data into meaningful insights.

Ideally, you will possess:

• Qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline.
