The Role
As a Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate complex projects within secure environments, such as Physical Secure Zones and SCIFs (Secure Compartmented Information Facilities). The ideal candidate will excel in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders. A strong understanding of construction and compliance in high-security settings is exceptionally valuable, but the focus will be on driving project success through effective planning, leadership, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Direct the planning, execution, and completion of secure facility projects, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols and compliance standards.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align project objectives with organisational security goals, ensuring the right outcomes for all stakeholders are achieved.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain schedule integrity and security standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as one of the primary liaisons for internal teams and external partners, providing clear and consistent updates on project progress.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee project deliverables to ensure they meet the required quality and security standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Be an Australian Citizen.
  • Hold at minimum an NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

In addition, this role will require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the Defence or Military sector, or in a similarly regulated environment.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
