Job description

Project Manager | Masterplanned Communities

The Company:
Our client is a well-established, privately owned Australian property development group with an extensive history of delivering large-scale residential communities. With a proven track record across major masterplanned developments, the business has built a strong reputation for quality, integrity and creating communities that deliver lasting value.

With a long-term approach to development and a strong focus on its people and values, the company offers a supportive and collaborative environment backed by significant industry experience and an established development team.

The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join the Queensland development team and play a key role in the delivery of a landmark masterplanned community.

With the project in its early stages, this is a rare opportunity to be involved from the outset and contribute to the delivery of one of the region's significant new residential communities over the coming years.

Reporting to the Development Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the design, approvals and delivery of civil infrastructure, subdivision works and associated services. Working closely with consultants, contractors and relevant authorities, you will manage project delivery activities to ensure works are completed within agreed programs, budgets and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the design, approvals and delivery of civil infrastructure and subdivision works.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, contractors and relevant authorities.
  • Assisting with the preparation and management of project programs, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Reviewing engineering designs, subdivision plans, tenders and contract documentation.
  • Managing civil construction activities, contracts and project delivery milestones.
  • Monitoring construction progress, costs and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local councils, service authorities and key stakeholders.
  • Providing regular project reporting and working collaboratively with the broader development team.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project management within residential land development, civil contracting or engineering consultancy.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Civil Engineering background highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of residential subdivision processes, civil infrastructure design and development approvals.
  • Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and major civil infrastructure works.
  • Sound commercial and financial acumen, including project budgets, programs and contract management.
  • Knowledge of the South East Queensland development market and relevant authorities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and drive project outcomes.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, values-driven development business at the beginning of a significant long-term project. With the scale to become a benchmark masterplanned community, the role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution from the initial stages and establish a long term career with a leading development company.
