Job summary

Vancisco Industries is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join our small but capable team in Southeast Queensland. The role covers bidding through to completion on steel fabrication projects, coordinating with workshop and clients, and ensuring budgets and schedules are met.

You will review drawings and specs, prepare cost estimates and bid packages, and monitor progress on-site. Strong communication and autonomy are essential for success in our tight-knit environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of steel construction processes and materials.
• Proficiency with Word & Excel.
• Experience with fabrication drawings (desirable).
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs


• Manage project from award to completion


• Track RFI's, change orders, schedules and budgets


• Co-ordinate with the workshop and installation manager, subcontractors, and clients


• Conduct site visits and monitor progress

About you

• Strong knowledge of steel construction processes and materials


• Proficiency with Word & Excel (essential)


• Knowledge of fabrication drawing programs (desirable)


• Ability to multitask to deliver projects under tight deadlines
