Job summary

NRMA is seeking a seasoned Project Manager - Delivery to lead the end-to-end delivery of Australia's EV charging network as part of the Energy team. This permanent full-time role offers hybrid work across Sydney CBD, Sydney Olympic Park and Smithfield with occasional site travel.

You will drive feasibility, design, construction, commissioning and handover while ensuring governance, safety, budget and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' Project Management experience delivering multiple concurrent projects within EV, electrical, telecommunications, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Experience managing projects through full lifecycle from feasibility to handover.
• Strong financial governance, budgeting and commercial management experience.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and external delivery partners.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager - Delivery to join our Energy team and play a key role in delivering and expanding the NRMA's EV charging network across Australia.

Working within a high-performing and collaborative team, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of EV infrastructure projects, from site feasibility and design through to construction, commissioning and handover. You'll be responsible for coordinating multiple concurrent projects while ensuring strong governance, commercial outcomes, safety compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering a hybrid and flexible work arrangement across our Sydney CBD, Sydney Olympic Park and Smithfield offices, with occasional travel to project sites as required.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects from feasibility through to commissioning and handover.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across site acquisition, engineering, design, construction and operational teams.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, risk registers, governance artefacts and status reporting.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, risks and dependencies.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and third-party service providers to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Conduct site visits, audits and safety observations to ensure compliance with NRMA and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide accurate project performance updates, insights and recommendations.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance project delivery and operational effectiveness.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years' Project Management experience delivering multiple concurrent projects within the EV, electrical, telecommunications, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Proven experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Strong financial governance, budgeting, and commercial management experience.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and external delivery partners.
• Strong project governance, reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative and hands-on team environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and intermediate Microsoft Project capability.
• Sound understanding of WHS requirements within construction, electrical, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Highly regarded: Electrical, Construction management and/or relevant trade qualifications.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience interpreting electrical and construction drawings and designs.
• Experience working with Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) in various states and regions within Australia.
