Job summary

KBR is recruiting a Project Manager to support tender and bid responses, and help deliver capital works, facilities and infrastructure projects for Commonwealth Government clients, including Defence. You will coordinate proposal inputs, reports and stakeholder engagement, while working with design services teams and joint venture partners.

You will handle small to medium projects up to ~$20M, oversee procurement activities, and ensure governance compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting tender and bid responses for capital works, facilities or infrastructure projects for government clients.
  • Experience in project management, project coordination, contract administration or program support.
  • Familiarity with government approvals, office fitouts, construction projects and stakeholder coordination.
  • Able to work within structured project/program management frameworks.
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA and client-specific standards.
  • Progress toward or ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.

  • Support tender, capture and bid responses, coordinating inputs, programs and submission documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate project, contract administration and program support activities.
  • Coordinate inputs across multidisciplinary internal teams, design services and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and manage bid, project and contract documentation, including reports and records.
  • Support project delivery through coordination, document control, risk and issue tracking, and approvals.
  • Assist with procurement activities and government/client approvals.
  • Maintain day-to-day client communication, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
  • Contribute to proposal development, including resourcing, schedules and cost inputs.
  • Foster strong teamwork and drive continuous improvement across programmes.

Job description

KBR is seeking a Project Manager to support tender and bid responses and help deliver capital works, facilities and infrastructure projects for Commonwealth Government clients, including Defence, and other major clients. This role offers the opportunity to build your experience across bids, design, procurement, contract administration and project delivery.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate proposal inputs and documentation, support project reporting and stakeholder engagement, and contribute across a range of facilities and infrastructure engagements. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside KBR’s design services consultancy teams and develop broad experience across both business development and project delivery.

You will work on small to medium projects (typically up to ~$20M), office fitouts, construction packages and components of larger programs. In this role, you will:

  • Support tender, capture and bid responses, coordinating inputs, methodology content, programs and submission documentation
  • Plan and coordinate project, contract administration and program support activities in line with internal policies and governance requirements
  • Coordinate inputs across multidisciplinary internal teams, design services specialists, subcontractors, subconsultants and joint venture partners
  • Prepare and manage bid, project and contract documentation, including reports, registers, minutes, procurement and approval records
  • Support project delivery through technical coordination, document control, risk and issue tracking, and approval processes
  • Assist with procurement activities, subcontractor and supplier coordination, and government and client approval processes
  • Support day-to-day client communication, stakeholder engagement and reporting to maintain high levels of client satisfaction
  • Contribute to proposal development, including resourcing, schedules, cost inputs, reviews and internal approvals
  • Build strong working relationships across teams and clients, contributing to positive team culture, continuous improvement and future opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience supporting tender and bid responses and working on capital works, facilities or infrastructure projects for Commonwealth Government clients, including Defence
  • Experience in project management, project coordination, contract administration or program support
  • Experience or exposure in government approvals processes, office fitouts, construction projects, subcontractor management and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to work within structured project management or program management frameworks
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC/BCA and client-specific standards
  • Progress toward, or ability to obtain, NV1 security clearance
