Job summary

Port Stephens Council is seeking an experienced project manager for a two-year contract to deliver its Community Infrastructure program. You will manage projects from initiation through to completion, focusing on community and recreation capital works.

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, construction or related discipline or significant industry experience.
• Extensive experience in project and contractor management of major projects.
• Current Driver’s licence and WorkSafe Construction Induction/ accreditations.

The opportunity

With a breadth of new projects underway, we’re looking for an experienced project manager to join our team for a two-year contract period.

You’ll play a key role in delivering our Community Infrastructure program of work, managing projects from initiation, right through to completion. You’ll focus on boosting local life through community and recreation capital works projects.

Having had prior experience within the industry, you’ll bring with you a skillset in leadership, business skills, and a thorough understanding of relevant industry practices. You’ll be joining a team focused on making our community a better place to both live and play, delivering public spaces that matter.

Contract Details

• This is a contract opportunity – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
• Base Salary Range:$97,160 to $114,303 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $20,138 motor vehicle allowance + $2,562 retention allowance + civil liability allowance
  • Total Remuneration Package:$123,262 to $141,005 pa + 12% superannuation
• You will be working fromPSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace
