Viva Energy Australia is seeking a Project Manager - North Queensland to join our Commercial & Industrial and Engineering Distribution team. Ideally based in Cairns or North Queensland, with Brisbane as alternative.

You will lead end-to-end delivery of engineering and construction projects across our bulk fuel terminals in the region. You will coordinate with operations, HSE, contractors and regulators, manage scope, schedule, budget and risks, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering

Qualificações

• Engineering degree required or equivalent.
• RPEQ and/or PMP/AIPM certifications valued but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholders from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, HSE, contractors, and regulators.

• Prepare project documentation per PM framework, forecasts, approvals, and progress reports.
• Foster contractor relationships and continuous improvement in delivery.
• Engage with cross-functional teams across Queensland, NT, WA.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager - North Queensland to join our Commercial & Industrial business and Engineering Distribution team. Ideally based in Cairns or North Queensland, for the right candidate however, we would also consider Brisbane.

This role will report to the State Program Manager for QLD, NT & WA and will be responsible for the delivery of end-to-end engineering and construction projects within our bulk fuel terminals throughout Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering projects that support Australia's energy security today while helping enable the transition to lower-carbon energy solutions for the future.

We are looking for a collaborative and proactive project professional who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders and can successfully lead projects from concept through to commissioning. Candidates from a variety of engineering and project delivery backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

In This Role You Will

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering and construction capital projects in Viva Energy operating fuel terminals in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia and occasionally interstate including bulk tank, pipeline, gantry, electrical infrastructure, control systems, buildings and services.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder engagement from concept through commissioning.
• Scope development and contract management for engineering service providers and
• Coordinate engineering, operations, HSE, contractors and regulatory bodies
• Ensure projects meet technical, safety and compliance requirements.
• Prepare project documentation as per project management framework, forecasts, approvals and progress reporting.
• Foster strong contractor relationships and contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery practices.

Qualifications

About you

You are a confident and collaborative project leader who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering successful outcomes.

You Will Bring

• A degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or equivalent), project engineering experience with RPEQ and/or project management (PMP, AIPM or similar) certifications valued but not essential.
• Experience in project engineering and project management ideally within fuel terminals, oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial brownfield environments.
• Experience in delivering stage-gated projects
• Strong understanding of engineering design, construction, commissioning and operational interfaces.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operate effectively in live, brownfield environments
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
