Job summary

Carrier in Sydney is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate and deliver BMS and HVAC projects from initiation to completion. You will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor progress and manage documentation, with a focus on meeting client expectations and budget constraints.

Responsibilities

The role:

The Project Manager is responsible for the co‑ordination and follow through to completion of all aspects of projects and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead BMS / HVAC projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, develop project scopes, and define deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and successful delivery.
• Prepare project schedules, resource allocation plans, and cost estimates.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, communicate updates to stakeholders, and ensure effective communication channels throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of required equipment and materials.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project requirements and client expectations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the project.

Requirements:

• Proven Experience within a similar role as a Project Manager within the BMS or HVAC Industry.
• Develop and deliver margin improvement strategies.
• Ability to develop and implement budgets.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
