Job summary

NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver a diverse portfolio of civil and community infrastructure across the South Coast from Queanbeyan. You will manage scope, programme, risk and commercial performance while guiding procurement and contract activities.

You’ll lead a team and act as a trusted adviser to clients and stakeholders, delivering projects end-to-end with a focus on safety, quality and timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, construction, or major infrastructure project management.
• Experience managing multiple projects with defined time, cost and quality outcomes.
• Knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and delivery risk management.
• Strong communication with diverse client groups and community stakeholders.
• Commitment to professional integrity, teamwork and strong work ethic.
• Relevant trade, post-trade or tertiary qualifications (engineering preferred; construction/PM considered).
• Demonstrated experience in civil, water, wastewater or similar infrastructure.
• A valid NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the region (including occasional overnight stays).

About The Role

NSW Public Works (NSW PW) is part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.
