Job summary

Downer is seeking a Project Manager to lead Energy & Utilities projects across NSW from the Hexham office with regular site travel. You’ll manage scope, design, methodologies, cost estimation and risk, delivering on safety, time and quality.

Key qualifications include a Diploma in Project Management and Electrical Engineering, CPSPM with AIPM, and energy sector experience. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6 and @Risk is required; familiarity with NSW standards and OH&S is

Qualifications

• Diploma in Project Management and Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• CPSPM certification with AIPM preferred.
• Experience in the Energy Supply Industry.
• Knowledge of NSW Electrical Industry legislation and relevant standards.
• Strong financial management, budgeting and reporting skills.
• Subcontract and procurement management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and Primavera P6, with risk analysis tools.

Job description

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Project Manager to join our Energy & Utilities Business, managing distribution network, secondary systems, substation and transmissions projects across NSW. This role will be based out of our Hexham office with regular travel to site.

What You'll Do

Role requirements include leading the development of tender submissions and project delivery including: scope management, design management, determining construction methodologies, financial WBS and schedule development, request for quotations, cost estimation, risk assessment and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, development and implementation project plans and overall delivery responsibility for assigned projects. Projects must be completed within agreed stakeholder parameters of safety, cost, time and quality that meet our business objectives while fully complying to Downer Standard.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma in Project Management and Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred
• Extensive Energy Supply Industry experience
• CPSPM certification with AIPM
