National Civil & Foundations Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to lead the safe and successful delivery of civil projects, including piling, earthworks and basement construction. The PM will provide leadership across multiple live sites and manage budgets, programs and subcontractors.

The role requires a strong background in civil construction, project controls and design management, with 10–15 years of site delivery experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

About the Role

NCF is looking for a Project Manager (PM) for the safe and successful delivery of all aspects of NCF projects under their control. The PM is to provide leadership and management across civil works (incl: piling, excavation and basement construction projects).

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Pre-Construction:

• Contribute to value management opportunities during estimating and pre-commencement.
• Set up project budgets, including labour hours and cost codes in NCF’s project systems.
• Complete pre-construction reviews, staging plans and construction sequencing.
• Prepare and maintain project programs.
• Complete design reviews and co-ordinate temporary works, retention designs, piling designs and foundations.

Delivery:

• Deliver the technical planning, construction sequencing, and self-performed or subcontracted civil works (ie piling, earthworks, drainage, pavements).
• Monitor the project progress against program and budget requirements
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labour, plant, materials, and site personnel
• Implement works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements
• Other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager

Quality & Compliance:

• Lead and manage multiple teams to deliver all aspects of the NCF quality and compliance systems including:
• prepare and complete the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• prepare and oversee the project documentation, project reports, ITPs, SWMS, schedules, QA records, project registers, and Project Packs

Commercial Control:

• Lead and manage multiple teams to deliver commercial outcomes including:
• monitoring of project costs, forecasting and quantities, progress claims, variations and extension of time submissions
• implement the procurement of materials and services
• Act as a professional representative of the company, including technical updates, provision of reports and project correspondence.

About You

• Strong understanding of piling, earthworks and civil construction practices
• A proven track record of implementing construction best practice in a dynamic growing business.
• Comfortable leading and managing multiple live construction sites and/or projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of civil construction experience, with proven site delivery background.
• Demonstrated background in project controls, contract administration, and technical design management.
