Job summary

Gulf Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Upper Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122, you will travel to project sites and oversee planning, resources and execution for regional and remote Northern Queensland projects.

You will manage budgets, teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards. A construction or project management qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, preferably multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes and best practices.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts and forecasting.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
• Proficiency with PM software and MS Office.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regs in construction.
• Leadership experience managing teams and contractors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Problem-solving and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Qualif NA: construction/project management qualification advantageous.
• Current drivers licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Job description

Gulf Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Upper Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122, this role is central to the successful delivery of our construction projects based in regional & remote Northern Queensland. As Project Manager, you will be travelling to project site and responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from planning and resource allocation through to completion and handover. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects whilst managing teams, budgets, and stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling projects, including developing comprehensive project timelines and resource allocation strategies
• Managing project budgets, costs and financial forecasting to ensure projects remain financially viable
• Coordinating and supervising construction teams, subcontractors and suppliers on-site
• Monitoring project progress against agreed milestones and KPIs, implementing corrective actions where necessary
• Managing health, safety and environmental compliance throughout all project phases
• Liaising with clients, stakeholders and consultants to ensure clear communication and expectation management
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, drawings and specifications
• Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving issues promptly
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain construction standards
• Managing project variations and changes in scope with appropriate documentation and approval

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a Project Manager within the construction industry, preferably managing multiple projects simultaneously with TMR experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts and financial forecasting
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to construction
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and contractors
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Problem-solving ability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
• A relevant construction or project management qualification is advantageous
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
