Job description
Overview

Take the lead on residential insurance builds. Manage multiple jobs and make a real impact in our new but fast-growing division.

About us

At Reconstruct™, we don’t just build structures, we rebuild lives. Specialising in residential and commercial insurance repair work, we help people get back on their feet after unexpected damage. We’ve recently expanded into Queensland, and you’ll be joining a new but fast-growing division with big plans. We’re building a strong, reliable team that’s ready to grow alongside the increasing demand for quality insurance repairs and looking for an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership and deliver quality results across residential and commercial repair jobs. If you know how to keep multiple projects on track, love taking ownership, and get excited about managing projects from assessment to completion, this could be the role for you. Insurance experience is a must.

About the role

As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of residential jobs, ranging from storm repairs to partial rebuilds and everything in between. You’ll manage the process end-to-end. Because you will be our first project manager, we do require experience in estimating.

This isn’t a role where you will be managing a single large site; here you will be balancing multiple moving pieces, solving problems, and delivering consistent, quality results at scale.

What’s exciting about this role? You’ll be joining a new and growing QLD division, where there’s clear opportunity to step into leadership as we expand. We’re looking for someone who wants to take charge now and grow, and is excited about the opportunities this role will bring.

Responsibilities

Here’s a sneak peek at what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Overseeing multiple residential projects from assessment to completion.
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver top-quality work.
  • Keeping projects on schedule and within budget, while maintaining high standards.
  • Being the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and trust.
  • Handling challenges as they arise, solving problems before they become issues.
  • Keeping financials in check, ensuring invoicing aligns with project goals.
  • Managing documentation, scope changes, and variations.
  • Resolving onsite issues and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Contributing to a growing team and helping shape how we do things in QLD.
About you

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience supervising residential (and/or commercial) construction in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in estimating as part of your previous roles.
  • Trade certification (Cert III) preferred, with Cert IV or Diploma in Building & Construction a plus.
  • A strong understanding of Australian Standards, the Building Act, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional time management skills; you’ll be juggling multiple projects at once.
  • Leadership experience; managing teams, subcontractors, and complex builds.
  • A customer-focused approach; professional, approachable, and confident with clients.
  • A proactive mindset; you take ownership, solve problems, and keep projects moving.
Why this is your best career move

Here’s why joining us will be the best decision you’ve made in your career:

  • Top industry pay: $110K - $120K + Super + Vehicle + Fuel Card + Laptop/tablet/Phone
  • Fully equipped: We provide a vehicle, laptop, tablet, and all the tools you need.
  • Job security: A strong pipeline of high-value projects
  • Career growth: Join a new division with real opportunities to lead your own team
  • Great culture: We work hard but have a laugh along the way.
  • Extras: Quarterly team events, BBQs, and company updates (because culture matters a lot for us)
