Job summary

Auto & General in Brisbane (Toowong) is seeking an HR Technology Project Manager to design and deliver divisional HR initiatives. You will partner with People and Culture and cross-divisional teams to align projects with business strategy, ensuring effective governance and stakeholder engagement.

You will drive system integrations, manage risks, and lead the delivery from scope to hypercare, with a focus on UKG/Kronos, Genesys WFM, and Aurion Payroll implementations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with an HR System Implementation as an HR Technology Project Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and systems for employee lifecycle.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Previous experience with UKG / Kronos Time & Attendance, Genesys WFM, Aurion Payroll.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using project management tools.

Responsibilities

Description

Purpose of the role

The Project Manager will partner with the business to design and deliver our divisional strategic initiatives within People and Culture and partner with the broader business as the gateway partner for cross-divisional initiatives for Auto & General. This role will work alongside fellow People and Culture teams, so it will be imperative to maintain strong stakeholder relationships, in particular the internal Heads of teams, Program Managers and Risk and Insurance Australia partner divisions. In addition, will have dedicated project resources in a permanent capacity and, at times, contract resources. The role will drive strategic delivery from project scope, discovery, resources, technical requirements through to hypercare and delivery.

Position Accountabilities

  • Project Management Expertise: Possess strong project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, business users, technical teams, and vendors across multiple entities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project challenges and risks proactively.
  • Leadership: Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project goals within timelines and budget.
  • Integration Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of system integration principles and best practices, particularly in relation to integrating the T&A system with the contact centre and payroll systems.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop a detailed project plan for the People Systems components of delivery, including scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Perform risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish project governance structures and communication protocols.
  • Manage project budget and resources effectively.

System Development and Configuration:

  • Partner with our systems SME’s for the development and configuration of the solutions, ensuring it meets Auto & General's specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration with existing systems, including adequate reporting functionality back into Auto & General.

Testing and Validation:

  • Create in partnership thorough system testing, including, integration, user acceptance, and any required regression testing.
  • Ensure the system meets all functional and technical requirements.

Change Management:

  • Partner with the change practice to implement a change management plan to support any transition.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders about the benefits and impact of the change, highlighting the new systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Address user concerns and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition

Post-Implementation Support:

  • Partner with business as usual teams to ensure smooth handover and assist to address any issues that arise.
