Job summary

Queensland Rail is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Regional Project Delivery team based in Brisbane CBD. The role focuses on delivering complex projects across the state, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to meet safety, time, cost and quality objectives.

Responsibilities include developing funding submissions, project plans, schedules and cash flows, plus coordinating resources and procurement strategies.

  • Strong ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships with diverse groups.
  • General knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration and design requirements.

About The Role

We currently have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Project Manager to join our Regional Project Delivery team based in Brisbane CBD. In this exciting role you will be required to provide project management services to various projects around the state.

Purpose That Counts – Some of the responsibilities of the role:
  • Manage complex project delivery through coordinated project teams, ensuring safety, time, cost and quality outcomes align with business requirements.
  • Develop and implement funding submissions and project plans, including schedules, cost plans and cash flows, while maintaining alignment with approved scope, budget and stakeholder expectations.
  • Establish resource needs and procurement strategies, engage service providers and work with Contracts and Design teams to negotiate terms and performance requirements.
  • Oversee project execution across all providers, manage risks, maintain stakeholder engagement, report on progress and variations, and finalise projects through asset transfer, financial closure and compliance with Queensland Rail governance

  • General knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration and design requirements for project works, combined with the practical skills needed to guide these activities effectively with internal stakeholders across the project lifecycle
