Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of complex, high-profile initiatives within a large Federal Government environment. You will drive planning, governance and successful outcomes with senior stakeholders across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include managing interdependencies, risks and benefits, and preparing governance papers while guiding project teams through change and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex projects within government ICT or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks such as Agile or PRINCE2.

Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, high-profile initiatives within a large Federal Government environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project professional to lead the planning, delivery and governance of strategic projects that contribute to critical government services and outcomes. Working alongside senior stakeholders, you will drive project success through effective leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management and continuous improvement practices.

• 12-month contract with potential extensions up to 24 months
• Locations: Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• The ability to balance competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE2 or similar.
• Strong reporting, governance and project documentation capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.

Highly Desirable Experience

• Digital health, Medicare, interoperability or government ICT project experience.
• Payment integrity, compliance or fraud-related program delivery.
• Experience working within Federal Government environments.
• Familiarity with Services Australia's P3 Framework or similar project delivery frameworks.
