Job summary

Aztech Services Australia Pty is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple hazardous materials projects in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. You will drive delivery from inception to close, manage budgets, and build strong client relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

You’ll lead a hands-on team, promote safety, compliance, and high-quality workmanship while coordinating subcontractors and site resources in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects in hazardous materials or asbestos industry.
• Strong client relationship & stakeholder management.
• Experience managing project budgets, cost control and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

Aztech Services Australia is a specialist division of JJ's Waste & Recycling - one of Australia's largest privately-owned and operated waste management companies. Our team of highly experienced site and project teams execute projects to the highest level of safety and compliance, providing efficient and innovative solutions.

About the role

Aztech Services is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. What you’ll do

• Manage multiple hazardous materials and asbestos removal projects from start to finish

• Experience managing projects within the hazardous materials or asbestos industry
• Strong knowledge of friable and non-friable asbestos removal, legislation and industry compliance requirements
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing project budgets, cost control and financial outcomes
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support site teams
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a high attention to detail
• An uncompromising commitment to safety

What you’ll need

Highly regarded

• 5+ years' Project Management experience
• Background in demolition or strip-out projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Experience managing subcontractors and negotiating with suppliers
• Knowledge of older building structures
• Strong commercial acumen and contract awareness
• Experience preparing SWMS and project documentation
• A confident communicator who can lead client meetings and build lasting relationships
