Job summary

Recruit Collective invites an experienced Architect to lead full end-to-end project delivery in Surfers Paradise. You will brief, concept, document, and oversee construction phases for residential and mixed-use developments.

Key responsibilities include managing scope, budget, programme, and resourcing, while coordinating teams and consultants to meet client visions and regulatory standards. Advanced Revit and Adobe Suite proficiency are essential.

• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full end-to-end project delivery including briefing, concept, documentation, and construction.
• Manage scope, budget, programme, and resourcing.
• Oversee documentation (DA, BA, IFC) and ensure NCC compliance.
• Coordinate teams and consultants to deliver clear outcomes.
• Mentor junior architects and graduates.
• Manage tendering, procurement, and contractor selection.

The Working Environment

Full-time, studio-based role

Based in Surfers Paradise

Standard hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm

The Role

• Lead full end to end project lifecycle delivery including briefing, concept, documentation, and construction
• Manage scope, budget, programme, and resourcing
• Lead design direction aligned with client vision, budget, and constraints
• Oversee high-quality documentation (DA, BA, IFC)
• Coordinate teams and consultants to deliver clear outcomes
• Ensure compliance with NCC, standards, and regulations
• Maintain project quality, clarity, and efficiency
• Mentor and support junior architects and graduates
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment
• Manage tendering, procurement, and contractor selection
• Administer contracts and construction phase services
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, variations, and claims
• Help shape the culture, standards, and future direction of the practice

A Successful Candidate

• Registered Architect (Australia) with local project experience
• Strong experience delivering complex residential or mixed-use projects
• Confident leading projects independently and managing multiple priorities
• Highly detail-oriented with strong coordination skills
• Solid understanding of construction methodology, detailing, and structural coordination
• Experience with precast /modular systems highly regarded
• Exposure to costing or development-side thinking is a strong advantage
• Advanced Revit skills + Adobe Suite
• Strong communicator: pragmatic, clear, and solutions-focused
