Job summary

Norton Gold Fields Limited is seeking a Project Geologist to support geological field activities during drilling programs and to liaise with leadership on exploration initiatives. The role emphasizes safety and cost efficiency while advancing exploration concepts and data interpretation.

You will work with staff and contractors, ensuring QA/QC and adherence to heritage and environmental guidelines, with autonomous task execution and mentoring of junior team members.

Qualifications

4+ years in resource definition, exploration, or production geology.
Proficient with mining software such as Surpac, Datamine, Micromine and GIS.
Strong communication and team mentoring skills.
Satisfactory GSDU / NPC clearance.

Responsibilities

Support geological field activities of staff and contractors.
Liaise with leadership to conduct drilling programs.
Advocate safety and maintain cost efficiency.
Manage drilling proposals and target generation.
Oversee risk assessments and site inspections.
Contribute to environmental and heritage reviews.
