Stellar Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer (Roads) for a 3-month contract on a Western Australian mine site. You will oversee the construction of internal haul and access roads around a Tailings Dam, ensuring HSE/QA compliance while coordinating with subcontractors and site management.

The role offers a FIFO 8/6 roster with 12-hour days and a pay rate of 86.70 AUD per hour plus super. A Civil Engineer with mining site experience and strong leadership will fit well.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) required.
• 4-6 years post graduate civil construction experience on roads/minesite earthworks for civil contractors in Australia.
• Experience on mine site civil infrastructure or large earthworks involving haul/access roads.
• FIFO experience on minesite civils projects preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead others.
• WA Driver’s Licence (C Class).
• WA rights to work in Australia.
• Available with 2 weeks’ notice max.
• Able to supply 2 favorable references from last 5 years.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing.

They are currently expanding the mine’s key infrastructure including construction of their internal road network, and therefore are seeking a Project Engineer (Roads) on contract for the next 3 months.

About The Role

Do you prefer a role where you know you are paid for all hours worked? Are you frustrated in your current role by working overtime on a fixed salary with no extra compensation? This Project Engineer (Roads) position will guarantee that you are paid for all hours worked on a FIFO 8/6 roster, 12 hours/day at $86.70/hr + super. This position will suit a tertiary qualified Civil Engineer who has previously worked for civil contractors on the construction of road projects in the mining/civil infrastructure sectors, and who wants to transition to working client-side for a mine owner. If you are the successful Project Engineer (Roads), you will oversee the management and construction of internal haul and access roads around a new Tailings Dam. You will provide guidance on technical queries for sub-contractors, monitoring and reporting on progress, and ensuring adherence to HSE and QA requirements at all times. This is a terrific 3 month contract role paying $86.70/hr + Super (12 hour days).

Skills, Qualifications And Other Requirements

• Minimum Bachelors of Engineering (Civil)
• Approximately 4-6 years’ post graduate civil construction experience on roads and minesite earthworks projects for civil contractors in Australia
• Experience on mine site civil infrastructure or industrial developments involving large earthworks scopes such as haul/access roads essential
• Previous FIFO experience on minesite civils project preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead others
• Clean current C Class WA Driver’s License
• WA based with existing rights to work in Australia
• Available within 2 weeks’ notice maximum
• Able to supply 2 favorable references from the last 5 years
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
