Job summary

Inland Rail is seeking Project Engineers to join our delivery teams on the A2I and I2S sections of the program, across Greenfield and Brownfield environments. You will provide engineering support to ensure safety, schedule, cost and risk objectives are met.

The role offers 12+ month contracts, FIFO rosters, exposure to major rail and civil works, and a collaborative, safety-focused culture within Inland Rail.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree.
• Experience on major infrastructure/rail projects.
• Experience in project delivery and construction environments.
• Knowledge of quality management and inspections.
• Understanding of WHS principles.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with contractors and stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and engineering judgement.
• Current Class C driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe delivery of construction activities across Inland Rail projects.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure safety, schedule and quality.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and quality assurance activities.
• Review construction schedules, track progress and resolve delivery challenges.
• Assist with RFIs, design changes and construction documentation.
• Coordinate project activities with contractors, supervisors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to project reporting, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Promote Inland Rail CARE values and safety culture on sites.
