Job summary

Seymour Whyte in Binduli, WA, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the Western Region on the Great Eastern Highway Underpass project. Based in Binduli, 10km west of Kalgoorlie, this role offers project uplift, DIDO and LAFHA conditions, and a chance to contribute to a highly complex infrastructure project.

You will plan, coordinate and deliver construction works, develop plans and risk assessments, mentor team members, and manage subcontractors and procurement to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong planning, programming and construction methodology skills.
• Ability to manage project risks and devise practical solutions.
• Knowledge of SWMS/ITP requirements and contractual frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver construction works to meet milestones and contractual requirements.
• Develop work plans, risk assessments and site documentation for safe delivery.
• Mentor Site Engineers, Graduates and other team members.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labour, plant and materials for outcomes.
• Monitor productivity, identify improvements and drive performance.
• Manage procurement packages and support value delivery.
• Review progress, costs and forecasts for profitable delivery.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the Western Region working on the Great Eastern Highway Underpass project. Based in Binduli, WA (10km West of the City of Kalgoorlie) this role offers a generous project uplift, attractive DIDO and LAFHA conditions, and the opportunity to contribute to a highly complex infrastructure project.

About the role:

• Plan, coordinate and deliver construction works to achieve project milestones and contractual requirements
• Develop work plans, methodologies, risk assessments and site documentation to support safe project delivery
• Manage and mentor Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers and other project team members
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, labour, plant and materials to ensure successful project outcomes
• Monitor project productivity, identify improvement opportunities and drive performance against targets
• Manage procurement packages and support the delivery of best-value outcomes
• Review project progress, costs and forecasts while contributing to profitable project delivery

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

• Experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects
• Strong planning, programming and construction methodology expertise
• Experience managing project risks and developing practical engineering solutions
• Working knowledge of Quality procedures, WHS, Environmental and HR/ IR procedures
• Ability to produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ITP's for all trades
• Demonstrated ability to prepare contractual claims and variations
• Detailed knowledge of head and subcontract agreements
