Job summary

Ferrycarrig Construction Pty is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Sydney team on a Civil Infrastructure project. You will provide engineering support to the Project Manager and help deliver Water/Wastewater or Transport infrastructure in the NSW market.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and at least 3 years in construction, with 1 year delivering water or transport projects in NSW. You’ll manage technical issues, monitor quality, plan resources, and contribute to safe on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' construction experience.
• 1+ year delivery of Water/Transport infrastructure in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the Project Manager to deliver Civil/Utility projects.
• Manage technical issues, monitor quality, and oversee handover and commissioning.
• Coordinate resources and maintain safe on-site work practices.
• Prepare daily/weekly production reporting.
• Assist with execution planning and scheduling to meet programme/contract requirements.
• Ensure delivery of cost, time and quality targets.

The successful candidate will be working on a Civil Infrastructure project based in the Sydney Region.

What you will be doing

• Provide engineering support to the Project Manager to deliver Civil and Utility projects across Water/Wastewater sector or Electrical Energy sector.
• Manage technical issues,monitorquality, oversight of hold points andcoordinate handoverand commissioning of works packages.
• Work withproject teamsto ensureresources areplanned andutilised effectively and that a safe system of work ismaintainedon site.
• Prepare daily andweeklyproduction reporting.
• Assistingwithproject executionplanningand scheduling,ensuringthatprogrammeand contract requirements are met.
• Ensure key project deliverables of cost, time and quality are met.
• Build relationships with other staff in the company and with the client teams.

Is this job for me

• Be degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• You need to have at least 3 years of working experience in construction with a minimum of 1 years’ experience delivering Water and/or Transport Infrastructure in the NSW market.
• Effective time management, problem-solving, analytical thinking, organisational and communication,leadershipand negotiation skills.
