Job summary

Civil & Quarries Pty Ltd is seeking a site-based civil engineer to work closely with directors, project managers and site supervisors. The role focuses on coordinating civil and commercial projects across regional NSW, spending most time onsite to support crews and ensure safe, compliant project delivery.

Responsibilities include hands-on engineering support, overseeing daily site operations, programming, budgeting and reporting, and liaising with clients and authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field.
• Experience in civil construction, earthworks, concrete, or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and construction practices.
• Experience in project planning, cost management and contract administration.

Job description

This is a predominantly site-based position, working directly alongside company directors, project managers and site supervisors to coordinate and deliver construction projects across regional NSW. The successful candidate will spend most of their working time onsite, supporting construction crews and overseeing safe, efficient and compliant project delivery.

Key responsibilities

Manage and coordinate civil and commercial construction projects.

Provide hands-on engineering support to onsite construction teams.

Oversee daily site operations, construction progress and quality control.

Manage project programming, scheduling, budgeting and cost control.

Prepare ITPs, quality assurance documentation, SWMS and project reports.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials, plant and equipment.

Manage procurement, progress claims, variations and contractual documentation.

Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers and government authorities.

About you

Qualifications in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.

Experience in civil construction, earthworks, concrete or infrastructure projects.

Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and Australian Standards.

Experience in project planning, cost management and contract administration.

Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work predominantly onsite.

Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout regional NSW.
