Actemium Water Infrastructure Australia invites applications for a Project Controller. You will work with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on budget, on time, and aligned with client expectations while reporting to the Business Unit GM.
You’ll prepare project and purchasing plans, manage budgets and forecasts, and monitor invoices and progress using PM tools. An accelerated path to a Business Unit Controller offers strategic budgeting support.
In this pivotal role, you'll team up with Project Managers to drive the successful delivery of projects within the Actemium Water Infrastructure Business Unit, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, deadlines and in alignment with client expectations. Reporting directly to the Business Unit General Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supporting Project Managers in effectively controlling project performance and achieving project objectives.
Preparing and coordinating the project plan, purchasing plan, procurement forecasts
Managing project budgets and cash flows, tracking expenses, and performing cost analysis to identify potential variations and update forecasts as needed.
Reviewing and monitoring invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
Documenting, tracking and reporting progress against delivery schedules and budgets in a timely manner using project management tools and software.
Ensuring quality productive targets are met, by using labour monitors and staffing level forecasts.
Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and maintaining productive relationships with subcontractors, clients, customers, and suppliers at all levels to build confidence, credibility and currency to support project related activities.

Demonstrated ability in managing complex project budgets, including cost control, and procurement.
Highly motivated, energetic, and personable with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Comprehensive understanding of current regulatory and industry requirements, as well as the project life cycle.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with high self-confidence, assertiveness, and decisiveness.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel and project management systems such as SAP
Exceptional time management, prioritisation and multitasking abilities, capable of handling competing and changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail, along with sound organisational and planning skills.
Tertiary education in Business Management or Finance / Accounting or related technical experience.
Eligible to obtain Construction Industry White Card
Class C Drivers Licence (QLD)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
