Job summary

Aggreko is delivering a landmark Renewable Power Project in North-West Queensland and seeks a Commissioning Lead to oversee the initial commissioning of a large-scale thermal plant, with transition to Solar Farm, BESS and microgrid systems.

You will lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, energisation and handover, coordinating OEMs and contractors, while managing HV safety and project readiness from a Brisbane base with a 2:1 roster from Cloncurry.

• Proven experience leading commissioning on power generation projects.
• Strong HV energisation experience.
• Sound understanding of electrical safety, isolation and switching.

Aggreko is delivering some of the world’s largest off-grid hybrid power systems—integrating renewables, storage, and flexible generation to redefine reliable, lower-carbon energy for the mining sector. Join Aggreko as a Commissioning Lead on the Eva Copper Hybrid Power Project in North-West Queensland.

Job Overview This role will initially lead the commissioning of a large-scale thermal power station, including HV systems, diesel generators, fuel infrastructure and associated balance‑of‑plant. As the project progresses, the role will transition into commissioning leadership for the Solar Farm, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and integrated microgrid systems. The successful candidate may also assume responsibility for the site's Permit Authority function.

• Brisbane based and willing to work a 2:1 roster from Cloncurry.
