Job summary

Urban Utilities, a South East Queensland utility serving 1.5 million people, is seeking a Project Accountant to support major infrastructure investment. You will partner with Project Managers and business stakeholders to provide financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and governance to keep projects within approved funding.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.
• Experience in project accounting or finance partnering roles.
• Exposure to large-scale capital programs within infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting for capital projects.
• Provide financial insights and governance to ensure projects stay within approved funding.
• Partner with Project Managers and business stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve project performance and value.
• Contribute to enhancing financial processes and systems across the business.
