Details: The Climate Change, Energy, Water and Waste Division ensures the ACT remains a national and global leader in addressing climate change, through delivering highly effective policies and programs that include active community engagement.

Through engagement with the community, we seek to reduce energy and water use, better manage waste, support renewable energy, promote environmentally sound transport choices, improve information on climate change action and increase the resilience of our community to our changing climate. One ASO4 permanent position exists in the Households Programs team with an immediate start.

We are seeking motivated and relationship-focused officers to fill permanent and temporary positions at the ASO 4 and ASO 5 level to deliver a range of targeted programs and services that empower the Canberra community to be sustainable, reduce emissions, be energy efficient and help create a climate ready Territory.

The successful applicant will work in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver program outputs and outcomes. Duties include data management, effective project planning and delivery, brief and report writing support, stakeholder liaison and communication, and high-quality administration such as finance, procurement and contract management support.

We are seeking candidates with strong data management, reporting and administration skills; and who are great communicators to provide quality customer service. These roles will ensure effective promotion and delivery of programs as well as compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill both full-time temporary and/or permanent vacancies in program delivery roles at the ASO4 and ASO5 level across the Climate Change, Energy, Water and Waste Division over the next 12 months. Any temporary vacancies filled from this recruitment may have the possibility of permanency. Successful applicants may be chosen by application and referee reports only.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• A current ACT or equivalent driver’s licence may be required.
• Some weekend and after-hours work may be required.
