Job summary

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action in Victoria is seeking a Program Manager for Traditional Owner Agreements to coordinate DEECA commitments related to the Taungurung RSA. You will work closely with the Taungurung Land and Waters Council and DEECA divisions to implement policy, programs and projects with a strong focus on Traditional Owner engagement.

The role offers a flexible work location within Victoria with hybrid arrangements, and requires experience in land

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in policy, programs and projects delivery, especially land management.
• Understanding Aboriginal culture and ability to communicate with Aboriginal people.
• Knowledge of the Traditional Owner Settlement Act (Vic) 2010, self-determination, or Natural Resource Management advantageous.
• Desirable post-graduate qualifications in science, law, public policy, natural resource or environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DEECA commitments for Taungurung RSA.
• Provide high-level support to unit and director.
• Collaborate with Hume region, Bushfire and Forest Services staff.
• Engage with Taungurung Land and Waters Council and DEECA Divisions.
