Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a Program Leader Workforce Strategy and Projects to steer the development and execution of the workforce strategy and organisational effectiveness initiatives. This role drives strategic planning, capability development and evidence-based solutions to enhance performance and talent management.

The successful candidate will lead complex programmes, work with cross-functional teams, and align workforce initiatives with Council objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, organisational psychology or related field with substantial experience.
  • Experience in strategic workforce planning and analytics in a complex organisation.
  • AHRI certification or equivalent internationally recognised HR certification is desirable.
  • Current 'C' class driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of the workforce strategy and programmes.
  • Provide strategic leadership in workforce planning and capability development.
  • Deliver evidence-based workforce solutions to support performance and talent management.
  • Apply workforce analytics, planning and capability frameworks across the organisation.

Aboutthe position

The Program Leader Workforce Strategy and Projects positionleads the development, implementation and continuous improvement ofToowoomba Regional Council’s workforce strategy and organisationaleffectiveness initiatives. The role provides strategic leadershipin workforce planning and capability development to ensure Councilhas the capacity and skills required to achieve current and futurebusiness objectives. Through workforce analytics, strategicplanning and capability frameworks, the position deliversevidence-based workforce solutions that support organisationalperformance, talent management, leadership development andworkforce effectiveness.

  • This is a permanentfull-time opportunity located in the ToowoombaCBD.
  • The salary range forthis position is $128,155.76 - $144,499.17 gross per annum,plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation, or pro rata part-time.

Howto be successful in this position
  • Hold a Bachelor'sDegree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology,or other related field with substanitialexperience.
  • Extensive experince instrategic workforce planning, organisational development,workforce analytics and/or organisational effectiveness in acomplex organisational environment.
  • Professionalcertification with the Australian Human Resources Institute(AHRI), or an equivalent internationally recognised HRprofessional certification (e.g. CIPD, SHRM) would be highlydesirable
  • Hold a current 'C'Class driver's license.
  • Proven abilty to leadand deliver organisational wide programs.
  • Highly developedanalytical, research and problem solving skills.
  • Experience developing,implementing and evaluating workforce strategies.
  • Exceptionalrelationship and communication skills.
  • Alignment withCouncil's values.

The preferred candidate willbe required to undertake a Criminal History Check and apre-employment medical assessment to assess their ability toperform the genuine occupational requirements of theposition.
