Job summary

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking a skilled Communications & Marketing leader to drive the delivery of services across the community and Council. The role will plan, coordinate and deliver engaging internal and external communications, branding and graphic design, and organise corporate and civic events.

You will lead a professional team, develop integrated strategies and ensure delivery across multiple channels to support organisational outcomes and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and/or significant demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or a related discipline.
• Experience leading and managing communications and marketing functions, including strategic planning, service delivery and continuous improvement within a complex organisation.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, including the ability to supervise, develop and motivate a professional team to achieve organisational objectives.
• Experience developing and delivering integrated communications and marketing strategies, campaigns and initiatives across a range of channels to support organisational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Communications & Marketing service for the community and Council.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver internal and external communications, marketing, branding and graphic design across the organisation and community.

Job description

The position assists the Manager, Communications & Marketing to lead the delivery of the Communications & Marketing service for the community and Council. The role is required to plan, coordinate and deliver a high standard of engaging, relevant and effective internal and external communications, marketing, branding and graphic design, and corporate and civic events across the organisation and in the community.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $118,950 gross per annum

+ 12% superannuation

+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
