Job summary

NASCA is seeking Program Leads in NSW to work with NASCA students to improve school attendance, develop career pathways, and strengthen cultural pride through life skills, personal development and long‑term resilience.

Role involves delivering NASCA programs in schools, building strong relationships with students and communities, and coordinating activities including weekends and residential programs, in a not-for-profit Indigenous organisation.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in a relevant area and/or relevant management experience.
• Experience in a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation.
• A drivers licence.
• Working with children and AFP clearances.
• Cross-cultural intelligence.
• Passion for social justice and equality for First Nation peoples.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NASCA programs in schools including program planning, coordination and implementation.
• Maintain meaningful relationships with students, community members and the school.
• Undertake daily bus pickups and drops off as required.
• Mentor and support First Nation students aged 12-18 years, including workshops and tutoring.
• Provide NASCA Life Skills and School Engagement activities (e.g., cooking, leadership, CV creation).
• Organise after school and weekend activities and excursions.
• Facilitate community activities and cultural exchanges between community, NASCA and school.
• Create Personalised Learning Pathway Plans for NASCA students.
• Work in a team within schools and occasionally run residential programs and camps.
