Job summary

NASCA is seeking a Program Lead to deliver school-based NASCA programs across NSW, coordinating planning, delivery and student support. You will maintain meaningful relationships with students, community members and schools, facilitate workshops, and support First Nation students aged 12-18 with life skills, learning plans and cultural activity oversight.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in teaching, social sciences, Indigenous studies, coaching, youth or community services.
• Facilitation and workshop delivery experience with children and young people.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proactive with high autonomy and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NASCA programs in schools including planning, coordination and implementation.
• Maintain meaningful relationships with students, community members and schools.
• Undertake daily bus pickups/drop-offs as required.
• Mentor First Nation students aged 12–18, facilitate workshops, provide tutoring.
• Organise life skills and school engagement activities (cooking, arts, CV creation, etc.).
• Organise and support healthy breakfast programs and after-school activities.
• Coordinate cultural events and community activities.
• Develop personalised learning pathway plans for NASCA students.
• Collaborate with schools and NASCA staff, including occasional weekends or residential camps.
• Other duties as requested.
