Job summary

Lead Group in Brisbane CBD is seeking a Solicitor or Associate with 2–5 years' post-admission experience to join our established Professional Liability practice.

You will work alongside a highly respected Partner and team, handling professional indemnity, D&O and insurance litigation for insurers, brokers and corporate clients across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years post-admission experience in professional indemnity or insurance litigation.
• Experience in professional negligence and insurance disputes.
• Strong litigation, drafting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing professional indemnity and insurance litigation matters.
• Defending professional negligence claims involving solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, engineers, architects and healthcare professionals.
• Working on D&O, management liability and employment practices liability claims.
• Assisting with complex commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
• Drafting pleadings, legal advice, correspondence and other litigation documents.
• Preparing matters for court, mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations.
• Providing advice to insurers, insured clients and other stakeholders.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Working closely with senior practitioners on complex and high-value matters.
• Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to the team's ongoing development.
