Job summary

Horner is hiring Production Workers for a well established food manufacturing company in Heatherton. This casual role offers great pay and the potential to move into a permanent position, with full-time hours available and day or afternoon shifts.

You'll weigh ingredients, load and blend materials, fill, pack and stack products, and keep records while following safety and hygiene procedures. Prior production experience helps, but reliability and a willingness to learn are key.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 25 kg repeatedly.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Full-time availability for allocated shifts.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous food manufacturing or production experience is highly regarded.
• Vaccination requirements including triple-vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Weigh raw ingredients to recipe specifications.
• Load raw materials into industrial blenders.
• Blend batches in line with production requirements.
• Fill, pack and stack finished products.
• Clean and sanitize production areas and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of ingredients and production quantities.
• Follow workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of a small production team, your duties will include:

• Weighing raw ingredients to precise recipe specifications
• Loading raw materials into industrial blenders
• Blending batches in line with production requirements
• Filling, packing and stacking finished products
• Cleaning and sanitising production areas and equipment
• Maintaining accurate records of ingredients and production quantities
• Following workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures

Please note:

The role involves repetitive manual handling and lifting bags weighing up to 25kg.
