Job summary

Metso in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Production Officer to support our fast-growing operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end assembly and testing of our product range, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and the highest quality standards.

In this role you will assemble valve and control products, calibrate components, support production planning, and contribute to process improvements. A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications (highly regarded).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Assembling valve and control products accurately and efficiently.
• Calibrating and performing tests on electrical control components.
• Supporting production planning and personnel utilisation.
• Identifying and contributing to improvements in assembly processes and methodologies.
• Working closely with design engineers to enhance product design and buildability.
• Preparing steel and rubber components for assembly.
• Ensuring all products are packed and delivered in line with customer and quality expectations.
• Completing documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and adhering to workplace policies.
