Overview

The Production Technician - Electronics is responsible for the assembly, testing and inspection of high-quality electronic and optical equipment in support of the LAND 400 Phase 2 program. This role ensures that all components meet technical specifications and performance standards. Technicians conduct functional and diagnostic testing using specialised test equipment. They perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards, and they maintain and calibrate production and test equipment. Collaboration with engineering and quality teams ensures efficient workflow and issue resolution.

About your new team

The Production Technician - Electronics reports directly to the Mission Equipment Production Technical Supervisor; based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE). As part of the global integrated Electronics Solutions team, you will work closely with the LAND 400 Phase 2 program execution team and CoA.

Qualifications
  • The successful completion of a Certificate III or higher as an electronics technician (or equivalent - Avionics qualification highly regarded) with sound professional working experience;
  • Proven experience working within an electronics and/or optics (Avionics) maintenance or production environment;
  • Experience in fault localisation in electronic circuits and devices;
  • Professional knowledge in the field of analogue and digital circuit technology;
  • Experience with fine motor skills in PCBA repair, wiring, motors and resolvers, plus other devices and systems;
  • Electronic and optical systems technical knowledge;
  • Ability to travel internationally when required; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
